Is your Futura album cover sticky, old, or accidentally damaged? We can help with the only current alternative - restoration/recovering. Usually the pages and photos are fine, but a cover can become damaged or degrade from age. This page is for ordering a cover restoration only - without pages or mats.

Art Leather was the manufacturer of your album. While Art Leather was an industry leader for MANY years in the wedding album industry, they eventually closed their doors and stopped ALL manufacturing in 2011. That's the bad news. Immediately following, a new company called Professional Album began making replacement covers for Futura and Futura wedding albums. On June 19, 2013, they unexpectedly closed their doors and stopped ALL manufacturing. That's the really bad news because that now leaves NOBODY else making these covers and chances are almost zero that your inserts/pages will fit another brand album cover, but we have a restoration option.

Now, after all that bad news, we do have some good news for you. With the closing of the original manufacturer - Art Leather - and the successive manufacturer - Professional Albums, you now virtually have no replacement options for a new Futura cover because nobody is producing them.

You basically have two options:

1. Try to salvage what you've got (the sticky album you don't want to even touch), or

2. Completely remove all your photos and start over by ordering a completely new album including the cover, the inserts, and mats

While we're capable of selling you a new album, we would like to try to help you with your #1 option... salvage what you've got.

Stick Melted Art Leather Album

Right now, you've got questions. Here are the answers to most of them. Please take a moment to run through these and we can get rolling with restoring your cover. Even during production in 2011-2013, most options became unavailable. Those have been reduced further, but please ask yourself this: "Would you rather have a restored album that you can actually handle and view that may not be exactly like your original, or would you rather keep your original and never be able to touch it or look at it again?"

Q. How do you restore the album cover?
A: We actually disassemble your album and replace the entire covering. It is a VERY tedious process, but is worth it because as it is now, your album probably cannot even be handled.

Q: What material is used for the recovering?
A: We have genuine and synthetic leather options for you to select from.

Q: My album has an oval or square cut-out, how does that work?
A: Only square cover photo options are available.

Q: My album has some broken components. Will you repair those.
A: The most common are the brackets on the spine - these were plastic years ago. We are able to replace those at an additional fee of $75. Other items can be quoted.

Q: How long does the restoration take:
A: Approximately 12-14 weeks, but it's worth it once you see the result.

Q: Which albums does this apply to?
A: Only Art Leather Futura & Permabound albums

Q: What do I have to do to begin?
A: Ordering is easy. Simply print the PDF order form, make your selections, and ship your album to us.

Gold Oval Photo Frame Covers: This was a popular style, however, gold oval frames are no longer available and most times the originals cannot be used during restoration. Therefore, oval photo frame album covers can only be restored into another style - plain solid cover or a square photo window (which will require you print a new photo for the cover).
